What I do
What I do: Hello, my name is John D. Moore and I want to help you prosper. I founded JDM Promotions, LLC in 2002 after retiring from a 35 year career providing marketing and brand development direction and counsel to national and international companies in a broad spectrum of industries. Now I want to do the same for your small business.
I provide one on one marketing and branding consultation, coaching and hands on direction to small businesses that have hit a growth ceiling or started to decline. I also help budding entrepreneurs turn a vision into reality.
My mission is to assist you in the establishment of a positive brand personality and clear marketplace differentiation. Once your plan is in place, I help you implement it efficiently and effectively.
The goal is simply to achieve success...as defined by you!
I started JDM Promotions as a result of numerous requests to share the knowledge, skills, and experience acquired in nearly four decades of business ownership, including the founding and evolution of an international branding firm.
My services are tailored to individual business needs, and center on brand development coaching and mentoring; customer attraction and retention assistance; marketing and sales consultation; and, the fostering of an intergrated results oriented management culture with policies and procedures to match.
I also focus on the development of a close relationship with business owners; clarification of mission, vision, goals and objectives; and a thorough review of attributes, strengths and weakenesses within the marketplace.

How I do it.
How I do it: First off, you know and I know, that we have to hit it off to make things work. There's no sense in wasting your time and money, and my time. If the working relationship chemistry just isn't there then the results won't be either. So, I suggest we start by talking things out with an introductory meeting. If we get a feel for each other, then we can move ahead. Getting started is easy to do. Just give me a call at (716) 631-2023 and we can get to know each other. Then, if I feel that I can assist you, and you feel comfortable with me doing it, we can begin.
Because time and distance is an expensive hurdle for most small businesses, I am flexible in my working approach. Assistance is not only provided in person, but by telephone or mail; and through the use of email, instant messaging, or video conferencing as well. With technology we can meet face to face and never leave our desks half a world apart.
Day to day working arrangements are tailored to your specific situation. Depending on your preference I can act as a "hired gun", managment extension, or invisible source of advice, insight and ideas. It's your company and your brand, so it's your choice.

Credentials.
How I do it: I am a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Journalism.
Along the way I have been a news reporter, editor, manager for both print and broadcast media; an Information and Intelligence officer with the US Air Force; an account manager with a New York City based international ad agency; a senior manager , executive vice president and shareholder for a national advertising agency; and the founder, owner and President of a multi million dollar international branding and marketing company with a wide range of clients.
I've served on Boards of Directors, and founded several small "brick and mortar" and internet businesses as well. One thing I've learned there is a "right way to do things!"
In addition to my business experience, I've been published; been the guest speaker at trade and commerce functions; wriitten, recorded and performed as a musician; owned, and operated, a large entertainment marketing company.
The bottom line is I've seen the good times, the bad times, and the in between times. I've learned from both mistakes and successes. And, I've had the opportunity to experience the real life, tough as nails, business world first hand,

Fees
Fees I sell time, experience and expertise.
My fees are hourly based and reasonable. All time spent on your business is billed at $120 per hour plus expenses. Portions of fees are applied to retainer agreements.
Hours are billed for face to face, email, telephone, snail mail or any other means of communications. Hours include time spent on your projects that may not include you or your staff.
There are no contracts. There are no long term commitments by you, or me. Just results. Let's get started.
